We are seeking a driven, people-first Enterprise Platforms AI and Data (EPAD) Capability Director to guide and grow our EPAD Team. This role is responsible for overseeing all Enterprise platforms AI and data-related operations, acquisitions, and resource management for personnel, marketing, training and development, and growth. This position is responsible for the Enterprise platforms AI and data capability under the direction of the Executive Director, Strategic Programs.

Primary Duties:
  • Recommend, define, and evolve KAIROS’ enterprise platforms AI and data business opportunities, capability roadmap, and out-year planning strategies, including requirements analysis, risk reduction, development, and integration of advanced capabilities.
  • Identify gaps in enterprise platforms AI and data tools, processes, skills, and technical capabilities, and lead initiatives with Market Leadership to close them.
  • Lead strategic growth within enterprise platforms AI and data, develop long-range operating goals specific to organizational needs, and support proposal efforts and responses.
  • Prepare budgetary allocations relating to the enterprise platforms AI and data team and the enterprise platforms AI and data needs of the company
  • Lead and develop the KAIROS enterprise platforms AI and data team by supporting talent acquisition, professional growth, career planning, and alignment with organizational priorities in collaboration with Executive Directors and Business Unit Directors.
  • Stay current on enterprise platforms AI and data and technology trends and recommend improvements that streamline workflows, increase efficiency, and enhance customer service.
  • Work closely with program managers and product leaders to align technical capabilities with project needs
  • Lead cross-functional technical initiatives and innovation efforts that advance enterprise platforms, AI and data capabilities, and support organizational priorities.
  • Lead and support corporate initiatives
  • Serve as a champion for enterprise platforms, AI, and data capabilities by promoting best practices, technical innovation, and continuous improvement across the organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications: 
  • Functional understanding of enterprise platforms, AI, and data tools, systems, and lifecycle management

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide clear status and/or communicate critical issues. Ability to read between the lines, interpreting conversations and written communication.

Education and experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, statistics, mathematics, or other technically related data field.
  • Master’s degree in computer science, data science, statistics, mathematics or other technically related data field, preferred.
  • Ten (10) or more years of experience directly related to Engineering. At least five (5) of those years working with the DoD or related governmental organization.
  • Five (5) years or more of supervisory experience
  • Proven track record of building and scaling technical teams and capabilities
  • Experience in a regulated or standards-driven industry
  • Extensive professional experience in leadership roles
Clearance: This position is subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. This position requires an ACTIVE Secret Security Clearance.

Compensation: 
While skills, education, and experience are key factors, they are not the sole determinants of salary. Other determining factors include but are not limited to location, contract budgets and requirements, and government labor category guidelines. The estimated salary range for this position is $180,000.00 to $261,000.00. KAIROS also provides a comprehensive benefits package as additional employee compensation.
